Michael brings a background in technology consulting, data, and enterprise software to his role as Co-Founder and CTO of LunchBox Solutions. He’s passionate about using technology to simplify complex processes and is excited to build intuitive, scalable tools that help school nutrition teams spend less time managing systems and more time serving their students.
Consultant
Kelsey is a Nutrition Services Director with more than 15 years of experience in school meal programs—from serving as a Child Nutrition Consultant for the California Department of Education to helping lead central-kitchen development and local procurement for a large urban school district. She brings that experience to LunchBox Solutions to help directors cut through the complexity of school meal programs with confidence.
Business Operations Coordinator
Jessie brings 15 years of experience in education and a lifelong appreciation for food to her role in business operations at LunchBox Solutions. Her passion for food grew through restaurant work, food recovery, and helping young children discover new foods through cooking. Jessie believes every child deserves good food and that schools have an important role to play in teaching children about nutrition, cooking, and where their food comes from—and she is excited to help LunchBox Solutions support stronger school food programs.
Product Design Lead
David has led product initiatives across a wide range of industries, from nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies, but began his career as a mathematics educator. He’s excited to join the LunchBox Solutions team and help build products that empower school nutrition leaders, streamline their day-to-day operations, and strengthen the systems that support students and schools.
Consultant
Rachel is a Registered Dietitian with a love for menu planning, recipe development, and all things food and nutrition. Her previous role as menu planner for the self-operated division of DC Public Schools taught her the impact that innovative menu strategy can have on a district. Rachel is excited to join the LunchBox Solutions team and support schools fueling their students.Business with a heart

That’s why LunchBox Solutions commits 1% of annual revenue to RootEd, a nonprofit working to strengthen farm-to-school education and make it easier for K-12 schools, local farmers, and small food producers to work together.
By supporting practical resources, education, and stronger connections between schools and local food systems, RootEd helps bring more nutritious, locally grown food to students while supporting the farmers and communities that make it possible.

We work with public school districts and charter schools participating in the National School Lunch Program. LunchBox Solutions is based in Truckee, California, and serves clients nationwide.
We generally consider directors in their first three years to be new. However, all LunchBox Solutions services are available to school nutrition professionals at any point in their career.
Absolutely! Our services are eligible per the California Department of Education (CDE). Plus, we offer multi-year contracts for added convenience.
